Manage Notes, Maps, Pictures and More
The Sketchworthy iPhone note manager app lets users create notebooks that hold notes, sketches, scribbles, maps, drawings, photos, and so much more. It’s not only versatile it’s also attractive and easy to use. Let’s Discuss…
Functionality
The Sketchworthy app ran flawlessly each time I ran it. All functionality worked as advertised. The screens ran perfectly from one screen to the next without any failures or glitches. I was able to connect to my photo albums, maps, and social apps as expected.
Appearance and Usability
Sketchworthy opens up with a main desktop screen that shows one of the existing notebooks. Users can scroll from one notebook to the next by swiping their fingers from right to left. Users can also tap on any notebook available to open it up to see the pages contained within. Once inside the notebook pages are displayed as little page icons with a preview of whatever is on each page. I like this
because it lets users see what’s on each page without having to go into them. Very convenient and time saving. Once inside of a page users can choose a page time from a page, a map, a webpage screen shot, or a photo. If users choose a page they can choose from a choice of pencil, crayon, fonts, photo, or copy from an already existing page in the notebook. The pencil and crayon functions allow users to choose many different colors to pretty up their notes any way they want.
Another nice function of the Sketchworthy app is the ability to add different paper packs to notebooks to add even more versatility to each notebook. Paper packs are pre designed pages that either add color, add background designs, or turn pages into functional items such as maps, musical notes, or games. Some examples of paper packs are the “Canvas Pack” that turns pages into canvases to allow them to create a more realistic piece of artwork. Then there is the “Game Pack” that gives users pages like the license plate game, hangman, and tic-tac-toe. These are just two examples of the 15 paper packs currently available at this time. Hopefully after the writing of this review the app developers will come up with even more paper packs for users to buy. Oh and by the way paper packs are .99 cents each so they are easy to pick up without breaking the bank.
Price
The initial price of the Sketchworthy app is $1.99. I think this is a good price but I wonder how users will feel about it. $1.99 price point is a fair price for the value that this app gives but it may scare off those users who don’t like paying more than a buck for apps. The paper packs go for 99 cents each and those are an excellent value for the added enjoyment they bring to the Sketchworthy app.
