Panorama iPhone App Review

Panorama Title ScreenEver been to someone’s house or office and see a cool panoramic photo and wonder how they did that? In years past you would take several single shot photos of different parts of the same location and stitch them together with some kind of film technique or computer photo editor that would put them together for you. However as technology has improved it’s become increasingly easier to create panoramic photos with a digital camera or a smart phone equipped with a camera. Thus we come to today and there are apps that do such things. One of those apps is “Panorama” by the iPhone app development company Wondershare.

What is Panorama?

Panorama is an iPhone app that allows you to take fantastic panoramic photos using your iPhone.  I found it to be extremely easy to use too.  You simply press the photo button and move the camera to the right.  Each time you move to the right Panorama snaps a new shot from a slightly different position.  After about 8 photos the Panorama app takes those photos and stitches them together into one giant Panoramic shot that shows all 8 photos in one perfect Panorama photo.  Here’s an example I took of a small strip mall I stop at to get my coffee and muffin each day.

The Panorama app has a very nice title screen that will allow you access to gallery, share, and more apps by Wondershare as well as the ability to take great Panoramic photos.  Once into the app it opens up into a the camera interface where most of the action happens.  You can shoot your panoramic photos here, edit photos, as well as add very cool affects to each photo’s output file.  Photo filters like Rice Paper, Vintage, Retro, etc….There are several photo effects to choose from after you create your panoramic photo.

Social and Sharing Features

Panorama’s sharing and social features give the user some ability to turn on and turn off several features such as a date on your photo, preview functionality, geotagging, and copy to camera roll.  I’m not sure why anyone would turn off preview and copy to camera roll but they are there if you want them.   Socially users can share their photos with their friends through email, twitter, flickr, facebok, and several other social networks.  I can’t tell you what they are because I’m not sure what the language is they are written in haha.  But I’m sure they are popular is Asia.

Bottom Line

iPhone App Review Guy Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.

Panorama is a very nice photo app with easy to use functionality and a nice set of features that anyone who’s looking to take panoramic photos would like. And at 99 cents it’s a price that can’t be beat! Give it a shot and see how you like it. If you don’t agree with my review you’re only out a buck!
