Cannonball! Human Cannonball Comin!!
Propel Man is a game by Spiel Inc. You are in charge of Propel Man. He’s the guy who’s going to get shot out of a cannon like a cartoon version of a human cannonball. Clearly Propel man didn’t think things through prior to this day. But never the less he is going to get shot out of the cannon and how far, how high, and whether or not he floats down to safety or crashes in a flip floppity crash is strictly up to you. For it is you the player who is responsible for setting the angle and power of the shot. You are also responsible for when or if propel man’s parachute comes out in midair.
Propel man is really quite a fun and addictive game. There’s enough ingenuity and upgrade devices to earn while playing that it makes this game what it is. A good time that you don’t have to think about too much. Once you figure out the controls which are pretty easy to figure out it’s a snap. The animations are fun to watch and it’s cool to see how far you can get Propel man to go based on the power and angle settings you choose. This app it very reminiscent of other apps on the iPhone. In fact it’s kind of a cross between Angry Birds and Sheep Toss! It’s got that Angry Birds feel when Propel man is flying through the air and that sheep toss feel when you see how far you can get him to go.
Somethings to fix
One of the things I would change is I would add a tutorial to the game that explains the controls a bit. Little kids playing this game is who I’m thinking about here. I gave the game to my son to play and he struggled a bit until I showed him how to use the controls. After that it was smooth sailing. Another thing is a better explanation of how each of the prizes you can earn affects your character. Like when i first got rockets i was looking for a way to turn them on. I figured out after a while that it was not something you turned on but something that just had an overall affect on Propel Man’s flights once you had them. It was a little confusing at first and this takes away from the enjoyment of the game a little.
So how many stars?
Graphics and sound plus fun animations Make this game fun and addictive. However the confusing lack of information and repetitive play also detract from it a bit. So I give it three stars. Definitely worth checking it out but after a while you might want to go outside and play or something too! LOL.

UPDATE! After playing this game for a few more days I learned how to use the rockets properly and let me tell you that it’s a lot more fun when you know what you’re doing! Problem was my big thumb was covering up the button where the rocket controls popped up and I never saw it. I’m somewhat oblivious that way but I also think a tutorial would have solved this as well. However I would like to say that this game is now a 4 out of 5 stars now!
