Looks good, works as advertised
Boring app after a while and it contains ads that may annoy some people.
Crazy Fidget Spinner Trend Takes Top Free iOS Honors
Fidget Spinners are the new craze among kids right now. There are all different types, shapes, colors, and sizes of them. According to Wikipedia a fidget spinner is:
A fidget spinner is a type of stress-relieving toy. A basic fidget spinner consists of a bearing in the center of a design made from any of a variety of materials including brass, stainless steel, titanium, copper and plastic. The toy has been advertised as helping people who have trouble with focusing or fidgeting (such as those with ADHD, autism, or anxiety) by acting as a release mechanism for nervous energy or stress.
So now that you know what a fidget spinner is you know that it’s an actual physical toy. Not a digital app. So I fail to see the point of creating a digital mobile app version of one, but that’s just what the developer Ketchapp did. Truthfully I know one point and that is to make money. This app most likely does just that and it also kills time.
The graphics of the fidget spinner app are actually pretty decent. The app developer kept it pretty simple. The spinner is the main thing on the screen. The number of coins are at the time as well as a gauge for spin speed. At the bottom is a tab bar with upgrades and settings in it. There’s a small banner ad there for the company to make money with but it doesn’t interfere with the game or your enjoyment. The sounds a kind of cool. Each spinner has a different “spinny” sound and coins make a money sound most people recognize from experience. Overall I think looks and sound are pretty good here.
The game itself has very few rules. The goal is to spin your spinner and earn coins. Then earn enough coins to upgrade your spinner and keep on spinning it. Then earn enough coins to upgrade it again and so on and so on and so on. There are ads to view and also videos to view for prizes and coins. Some of things players can do are upgrade their spinners and customize them as they go along. There are different spinners with different shapes, sizes, and colors. Players can also upgrade the maximum speed, grease the wheels for less friction, and earn coins when not online. The game is free so there are ads to watch from time to time but they aren’t too intrusive.
Ultimately this app is a money grab hooking a ride on the Fidget Spinner Craze express. The only people entertained by an app like this are little kids who like fidget spinners. I played it for about 10 minutes to see how far I could go and to make the video for this review. I don’t see myself playing it much more than that. It’s not that this app is poorly made or ugly. It’s actually pretty slick looking. It’s just not very entertaining after a few minutes.
Functionality the Fidget Spinner App is solid. No crashes or graphics problems. The interface works for what this game is and the app is playable. This app does exactly what it says it does in the app store.
